Rolling Prairie Bike Trail

Rolling Prairie Bike Trail
This 12 mile paved trail connect Allison, Clarksville, and Shell Rock. Newly paved, the trail features a nice mix of natural canopy and scenic bridges. The Allison trail head is at Wilder Park just off Highway 3. The Clarksville trail head is located at Volunteer City Park on the city's south edge (one block east of Highway 188). Both of these locations provide restroom facilities, shelter houses, and plenty of parking. The Shell Rock trail head is a quarter mile north of Highway 3 on county road T63. There is limited parking and no other facilities at this time. The trail also takes rider through the wooded scenery of Heery Woods State Park south of Clarksville. Expansion of the trail is anticipated to continue in future years. Once completed, the trail will connect Franklin, Butler, and Bremer Counties. Current information on the trail can be found online at... www.rollingprairietrail.org
