ALLISON

Allison is the county seat. The community offers the only motel in the
county. You will also find a newly constructed attractive public
library. Main Street offers a grocery store, pharmacy, auto parts
store, service stations, convenience store, and more to make your
visit enjoyable. Wilder City Park is located on Highway 3, just east
of town. The Rolling Prairie Bike Trail is connected to the park.

APLINGTON

Aplington calls itself “Northeast Iowa’s Best Kept Secret”. Located
near Highway 20, this community offers a grocery store, well known
furniture store, tea room, convenience store, auto repair, and more
for the traveler. The city park is located at 7th and Howard Street.
You will find two shelter houses, a playground, volleyball area, and
plenty of shade trees for your picnic.

AREDALE

Aredale is a small farming community. Main Street has a bank, farm
elevator, two eateries, and other farm related businesses. The Aredale
city park offers a shelter house and playground area. This small town
throws a big party every August with Aredale Day that attracts
visitors from all over the area for an outdoor concert.
BRISTOW

Bristow is a small farming community. The Memorial Park features a
shelter house, new attractive playground area, plus basketball courts
and a ball diamond near by. The Little Valley Church is also located
in Bristow. Bristow is the home of Paul “Ed” Yost, the father of the
“Modern Hot Air Balloon”. You will find a large grain elevator
business and other farm related services.
CLARKSVILLE

Clarksville residents enjoy the newly developed Volunteer Park which
offers two shelter houses (summer 2005), sand volleyball court,
baseball diamonds, and access to the Rolling Prairie Bike Trail. The
popcorn stand uptown is a tradition during weekend evenings in the
summer. Businesses include a grocery store, meat market, pharmacy,
several eateries, convenience stores, and auto repair. |
DUMONT

Dumont recently completed the expansion of their public library. The
business district includes a grocery store, pharmacy, convenience
store, bowling alley, antique shop, and more. The city park offers a
shelter house, playground, and restrooms, plus lots of beautiful shade
for your picnic. During weekend evenings in the summer you can visit
an old fashioned popcorn stand downtown.

GREENE

it’s way through town. Perrin Park is located along the river near

Falls. The Community Park has a shelter house, playground area,

Harford is also the home of U.S. Senator Charles Grassley. The
business district offers a hardware store, greenhouse, convenience
store, farm related businesses, a public library, and more.

PARKERSBURG
